Please join us to taste many wines from the Mezzogiorno area! We will be pouring most of the wines we have in stock from Southern Italy, so get your palates ready for an exciting experience!
Even though wine has been made in the area for 4000 years, most of us are not as familiar with the wines from the Southern portion of Italy, as we are with their famous neighbors in the North such as Tuscany and Piedmont. However, the regions and varietals from the South parts of Italy are gaining in popularity, and for a good reason!
The area of Puglia is known for red wines made from varietals such as Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera. In Sicily, they make whites from Catarratto and reds from Nero d' Avola. Other widely planted grapes in the area is Montepulciano and Aglianico.
The wines in the tasting will be for sale at a special retail price at the time of the event. Come on down to taste your way through Southern Italian wines!
